I'm excited to be able to announce the launching of a new blog, Church Matters.
It's a product of IX Marks Ministries, the chief of that tribe being Mark Dever. He's a sweet, clean Southern Baptist who has written about church health (e.g,. Nine Marks of a Healthy Church) and is a great conference speaker (e.g., T4G). In short, he's a straight shooter with upper management written all over him.
There will be other contributors (e.g., Matt Schmucker, who is also a great guy) and for the pastor/elder who is concerned about a church being biblical and glorifying our triune God, this blog is right in your wheelhouse.

But can he remember the cover sheet on his TPS reports?
Admittedly, there has been a problem with his TPS reports lacking the cover sheet.
Hmm. Did he get the memo?
Maybe he has a case of The Mondays.
Seriously, though, I love Dever. He's a real gift to the church.
Absolutely. I've had the pleasure to meet him and he was as gracious & godly up close as on stage/airwaves.
Plus, he was always sporting his 37 pieces of flair.
I've always wanted to take advantage of CHBC's "weekender" where you take your elders up there and get a behind the scenes look at how they do things. Everyone I've known to do that could do no less than rave about the experience.
