If I could only have one food for the rest of my life? That's easy. Pez, cherry-flavored Pez. No question about it.

Like countless other naive Americans, I'm hoping to lose some weight in 2008.

My solution to that end is the Atkins diet, one with which I've seen some progress in the past. It works for me because I can have a monotonous diet whereby I don't need a lot of variety.

It works for me because my temptations on that diet are limited. For example, I'm a big fan of ice cream, chips, Cherry Coke, pizza, Pancho's ... hmm. That's more than I thought and I'm actually starting to get a little hungry.

Yeah, it's probably the lack of variety that separates the wheat & the chaff on that diet. Could you eliminate the variety?

So, if you could only have one food for the rest of your life what would it be?

For me, the playoffs would entail:
  1. Pizza
  2. Ice Cream
  3. Bacon
  4. Chips

I have ...
  • Chips losing on the road to Pizza
  • Bacon loses a close one in overtime to Ice Cream

In the culinary Superbowl, I have Ice Cream beating Pizza, thanks to a neutral site.

I'm not interested in your food pyramid, but your food playoffs.

No wonder it meant so much to you to have an ice cream wingman. I didnt' realize that my serving you was filling your love tank. I see that acts of service and gifts would be high on your love languages.

What's your favorite all time ice cream? Have you had the gelato here at Davinci on Stone Oak @ Loop1604. That it goood. It's not as fattening as the ice cream, and tastes better. Did that Freddy's do a little something for you?

No steak on the list?

I think Will Ferell said it. Was it talladega nights?

That Freddy's frozen custard was good, not as good as Ted Drewes in St. Louis, but a great way to finish off a meal.

Favorite ice cream flavor? That's a tough one.

Our Baskin Robbins has a peanut butter & chocolate that does a little something for me, as does their Heath shake (made with jamoca ice cream).

Of course, I'm always up for a Butterfinger Blizzard or a peanut buster parfait from DQ.

Who could go wrong with Bluebell's Cookies & Cream?

But, hey, that B&R Peppermint was pretty good, wasn't it?

Steak? I'm a big fan, of course, and it would clearly make my top 10, but we're only allowed 4 seeds in the playoffs.

So, what makes YOUR food playoffs?

If you could only have one food for the rest of your life, what would that be?

Not Talladega and not a Will Ferrell line, at least I don't know of him saying it.

I've heard the line definetly. I like Baskin Robbins world class chocolate. You would like Davinci's peanut butter. Yes, that peppermint was good. Did you eat all of it yet?

4 foods. Hmmm. I'll have to get back to you.

so far what comes to mind that I have a hard time not eating is:

-chocolate
-peanut butter
-caramel
-nuts

but those aren't really food. Those are just my weakness.

Yeah, since you had just brought up the movie earlier in the day, I thought I was serving you up a softball.

But, that's what happens when we're dusting off a little old school movie entertainment.

I served up some top 4 for you. Thought you might like to check it out. One food... I would pick salad. You can put almost anything in a salad. That would be the smart way to go if it were the one thing for the rest of my life. You can put almost anything pizza too though. Pizza is good. I'll go salad. Probably not a very fun answer.

Finished up the HUR. Good thing the girls were not there. Where did they come up with G? That's not the kind of G I was expecting.

I need to find some good Biblical movies for the kids. Veggie Tales starts off good, but they put too much other cag into the video.

Hey Gunny, you got it all wrong ... the Giants are facing Dallas next week! Looking forward to it... I pray that Jessica Simpson will be around! :ob

Hey who's your favorite ESPN newscaster? Mine is Kenny...he's funny. :o)

I'm more than a little concerned about the outcome of this game.

Dallas ain't looked hungry since ... well, since they played the Giants in the Meadowlands.

They weren't that impressive against a Favre-less Packers in Dallas and it's been a while since they've played anything close to a complete game.

There's cause for concern ... ESPECIALLY without Terrell Owens.

My favorite ESPN guy? Clearly, Stephen A. Smith. Nobody talks smack better.
