That was an especially nice touch, Clarice.

While out tonight I caught a few minutes of the news tonight. The "hot story" they kept promoting dealt with Miss USA. Today is her 21st birthday, but instead of being happy she might have to give back her crown.

After two segments of anticipation she may lose her crown due to allegations of underage drinking, cocaine, and sexual shenanigans. The last of which included "lustify kissing" Miss Teen USA and sneaking men into their hotel room.

I found myself thinking ... C'mon! Nobody cares.

Can you believe in 2006 we even still have such tomfoolery as beauty pagents and so forth? What with the objectification of women and the disdain for shallowness where feminity are concerned?

What a beating that the legitimate news has to give us this "shocking" Inside Edition Hollywood Access National Enquirer slooge!

The worst was Clarice Tinsley had to embarrass herself by asking enthusiastically of the field reporter, "And when will we know the outcome?!"

I thought that was an especially nice touch, Clarice. However, her FEBA* was not convincing.

I hadn't seen the local news in quite a few years. I hadn't missed much.

*FEBA = False Enthusiasm, Bogus Attitude

The only thing good about the local news is the Cowboys coverage. But even that is tainted by T.O.mfoolery.

Why couldn't we have Champ Kind doing the sports?! The Channel Four News Team would not have gone for such, even Miss Corningstone.

Back to you, Ron.

First principles, Clarice. Read Marcus Aurelius. Of each particular thing ask: what is it in itself? What is its nature? What does he do, this man you seek?

He spits. He drops passes. He writes children's books.

Hey, the man said, "Like I said, I apologize. I just have to put it behind me."

The T.O.mfoolery (nice one, Jay) is outrageous.

What means he that he has to put it behind him? He's not the victim having to overcome something done to him.

It seems that he really does see himself as the victim, on every front.

I just want to give him some Jerry Maguire:
You are a paycheck player. You play for the money. You play with your head, not your heart.

When you get on the field, it's all about what you didn't get.

Who's to blame. Who's got the contract you didn't get.

Who underthrew the ball. Who didn't show you your love.

That is not what inspires people!

Just shut up. Just shut up and play the game from your heart.

And I will show you the kwan!

Reminder: Kwan means love, respect, community, and dollars, the entire package ... the kwan.

For the second night I find myself with a television to view around dinner time.

Headline News is on and guess which story is the top story for both the 5PM and 5:30PM segments. Oh yeah, this slooge.

Prior to talking about lost hikers or Vice-President Dick Cheney having to testify regarding the CIA leak ... we get to find out that ... Miss USA gets to keep her crown! Donald Trump is giving her a second chance.

And there was much rejoicing.

I hope you're picking up on my sarcasm, 'cause I'm pouring it on pretty thick.

Get yourself a new map.
