Hey, bartender, JoBu needs a refill.

Rob Neyer of ESPN has ranked the best 25 players of the decade (LINK), and now we need you to sort them out. Who was the best of the 2000s?

There are two different ways to answer that question. First, which was the greatest player who played in the 2000s? But that's different than the question I will answer: Which player was the best in the 2000s?

Here are my top ten:
  1. Albert Pujols
  2. Alex Rodriguez
  3. Manny Rameriz
  4. Randy Johnson
  5. Roy Oswalt
  6. Derek Jeter
  7. Lance Berkman
  8. Chipper Jones
  9. Ichiro Suzuki
  10. Mariano Rivera
The remaining 15 they listed:
(alphabetical order)
  1. Bobby Abreu
  2. Carlos Beltran
  3. Barry Bonds
  4. J.D. Drew
  5. Jim Edmonds
  6. Jason Giambi
  7. Vladimir Guerrero
  8. Roy Halladay
  9. Todd Helton
  10. Andruw Jones
  11. Jorge Posada
  12. Scott Rolen
  13. CC Sabathia
  14. Johan Santana
  15. Curt Schilling
Who's your top 10? Any that were snubbed from the list?

1) Pujols is #1, bar none.

2) Barry Bonds should be scratched from the list entirely.

You'll get no arguments here.

Jeter is one who I've heard a great deal about and his body of work is hard to beat. However, in the 2000s there's no way his output overshadows Albert's.

Greetings! Linked from Lionel Woods. I'll bite.

Bonds is number one, not even a close second. Pujols, A-Rod, Manny are up there as players. Johnson, Rivera as pitchers.

Of course, Bonds was number one in the 90's too. Not bad. Best player in two generations.
