Gunny, what's the deal with Piper concerning Wilson?! I don't think he should do this....

OK, listened to that Piper video. He said that Doug gets the Gospel right. How is that? Doug preaches a works Gospel ... that justification is only achieved after the life lived and not at the moment of repentance and belief?! What is Piper thinking?! Any comments? Are you attending?

Don't mean to be a pest but your Scott Clark reference is broken. I think you want to try this.

Jade, thanks for the heads up on the link. He "updated" the post to give a preamble of their relationship. He must have changed the link at that time.

Piper drew some criticism a few years back when he brought Mark Driscoll to a national conference as well. Apparently, he's not averse to a little controversy.

Honestly, I'm not really very familiar with Wilson on the whole Federal Vision thing. The stuff I've read from Wilson I have tended to appreciate (e.g., social commentary, child training, educational topics, and some theological insights), but I've never checked his Gospel slooge.

What would be a good source for such? I won't be able to make the conference, going instead to the pastors conference each year.
