Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!

I came across this quote and I think it's right on the money.

Often I think the government, like some music ministers, feel the perpetual need to legitimize their existence.

Amen. I can't recall the precise Reagan quote, but it was something along the lines of the most frightening words are "We're from the government and we're here to help."
